New Lenox ShareFest 2013 to Feature a Job Fair

Among many programs related to the community-wide ShareFest 2013 is the Job Fair. As part of the 11 days of giving and 30 days of service, the job fair is just another way of serving the community, said Nancy Hoehn, village economic development director.

The job fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at Village Hall, 1 Veterans Highway. A total of 47 employers have signed on to interview candidates. 

This is not the first time that the ShareFest campaign has included a job fair, but it grows every year. Last year, about 20 employers were on-hand to share information and interview candidates. This year, the job fair team has arranged for private spots to conduct interviews.

At least three Job Boot Campswere held since the 2012 ShareFest. The idea was born out of suggestions offered at the September 2012 event. The need for intense work force development was something the team was looking to address, said Hoehn.

• Aldi

• Home Depot

• Mariano's Fresh Market

• Midwest Group Staffing

• Joliet Junior College

• Aux Sable Liquid Products, Inc.

• Diversified Logistics

• TM Tire

• Midwest Valve & Fitting, Inc.
