Mokena's Aaron Toppen, Killed in Afghanistan, Arrives Home in U.S.

The casket carrying the remains of Aaron Toppen arrived at Dover Air Force Base Thursday.

The remains of Aaron Toppen, 19, are back in the United States.

Toppen's family was waiting at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, to welcome their beloved home Thursday.

Toppen was one of five American troops killed in a friendly-fire incident this week in Afghanistan. He and his family will return to a Mokena speckled with yellow, as the community launched a yellow ribbon campaign in honor of the 2013 graduate of Lincoln-Way East.

Need a yellow ribbon to display? One florist might be able to help you out.
