Loyalty Day Parade is 'Americana' New Lenox Style

Floats, flags, marching bands, Scouts, politicians, fire trucks and more—the Loyalty Day Parade is Sunday.

Welcome to the celebration of community. New Lenox's annual Loyalty Day Parade steps off at 2 p.m. May 5.

Participants in the VFW-sponsored parade begin to gather about an hour to 90-minutes before in the parking lot at the Lions Den, 520 S. Cedar Road. The floats and fun roll out from there.

Bring the kids, dogs on leashes, a folding chair or blanket and, of course, a camera. Line the 1.5-mile route for about two hours. The parade steps off at the Lions Den in the 500 block of S. Cedar Road, proceeds north on Cedar Road, then west on Haven Avenue and finally north on Veterans Parkway to the Veterans Memorial on the New Lenox Commons.
