2013 Loyalty Day Parade in New Lenox

The 2013 Loyalty Day Parade attracted on-lookers who lined the route to cheer on their favorites, enjoy the floats, marching bands and more.

The Home of Proud Americans came together Sunday for the annual William A. Athans Loyalty Day Parade.

The parade serves as a yearly opportunity for residents to show their appreciation to the U.S. and those who have or are currently serving in the armed forces. Athans, a World War II veteran, was a local VFW Post 9545 member and founded the parade.
