Nominate an outstanding student or teacher
The Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois,
which offers tuition assistance and mentoring for high school students planning to study education at a participating university in Illinois, will be accepting nominations until Dec. 1, 2013. Students may nominate themselves or teachers and counselors can nominate an outstanding young person. Nomination information is available at http://www.goldenapple.org/scholars-program-nominations

Lincoln Way North teacher Linda Egnatz was honored with a Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching in May. Nominations for The 2014 Golden Apple Awards for Excellence in Teaching will be accepted until Dec. 31, 2013. Administrators, teachers, counselors, parents and students are invited to nominate outstanding teachers currently teaching grades 4-8 full time at a public or non-public school in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will counties.
