Looking to Quit Smoking? County Health Dept. Could Help

The Will County Health Department has teamed up with the American Lung Association's Illinois Tobacco Quitline to offer residents another method to help them quit smoking.

The Illinois Tobacco Quitline is a free, telephone-based quit smoking program staffed by registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and addiction specialists who can assist callers, from start to finish, through the quitting process.

The Quitline is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in more than 150 languages.  To contact the Quitline call 1-866-QUIT-YES (1-866-784-8937), or visit www.quityes.org.
