Bridal Showers are Common, but a Shower for Kittens?
LuLu's Locker Rescue in Frankfort is sponsoring a feline shower to gather the basics for caring for abandoned kittens.
LuLu's Locker Rescue in Frankfort invites Lincoln-Way pet lovers a chance to come to the aid of four different cat and kitten rescue organizations from the Chicago metropolitan region, including LuLu's, St. Sophia's Forgotten Felines in Addison, Triple R Pets in Western Springs, and Critter Animal Relief Foundation, a nationwide organization with affiliations throughout Illinois.
The shower is from noon-4 p.m. July 29 at LuLu's Locker Rescue, 21288 Brown Drive at in Frankfort. There'll be appetizers and refreshments, gift baskets, raffles and, of course, plenty of opportunities to adopt a purrfectly wonderful pet.

- Cat litter
- Small litter pans
- Blankets
- Kitten milk
- Bottles
- Snuggle Safe disks
Donations will be split up among all participating rescues at the end of the event.
