The NL Fire District is hosting a First Annual Silent Parade to honor firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The parade will leave LWWHS after a brief ceremony. All fire apparatus will head east on Illinois Hwy to Gear, following north to the Village Commons. After making the loop around the commons, vehicles will proceed south on Haven to Wildwood, back onto Illinois Highway. They will then continue south on Cedar road and end a the NL Fire Station One.
All Proud Americans are encouraged to line the streets along the parade route with flashlights to help silently honor those that have fallen.
