The County Board (CB) approved the appointment of David Izzo to the County Board District #2 vacancy left by Laurie Smith moving to Florida. 

CB approved Budget and Levies for next year which were less than earlier proposed.  There should be a slight decrease in property tax for residents. 

CB started a new fund for Other Post Employment Benefits of $2 million due to Governmental Accounting Standards Board mandates. 

CB approved an ordinance expanding the Joliet Arsenal Enterprise Zone to allow for more business development.

CB approved a referendum for March 20th of 2012 to seek voter approval of the County to join with the Will County Municipal League to seek lower residential electric rates from companies other than ComEd.  I brought this idea to CB Staff and Leadership back in July. 

CB approved $67,733 Engineering contract for design improvements of the intersection of Cedar and Laraway Road.

CB approved allowing Patrick O'Donnell to apply for a Special Use Permit for used car sales on south Cedar Road.

CB approved Special Use permit for Lloyd Bisping on Ford Drive for Contractors Yard, Caretaker apartment, and Outdoor Storage.

CB approved Special Use Permit for David Stinnett for Youth Center the Hub off of Schoolhouse Road.
