Wyllie Talks About New Revenue Streams for D210 (Video)
The third part of Patch's video conversation with the Lincoln-Way school district Supt. Lawrence Wyllie. He discusses the different ways the district might be able to generate more money.
It's just a month into the 2012-13 year for schools in the Lincoln-Way High School District 210, and faculty, administrators and students are getting an idea of what to expect and what challenges are ahead.
As we've done in the past, Patch sat down with Supt. Lawrence Wyllie to discuss the school year as well as other topics. The third part deals with finding new revenue streams, including possibly charging for athletics.
- Part 1: Wyllie talks about how the beginning of the school year has started for the district.
- Part 2: The superintendent discusses how the district can maintain high academic standards while state aid and budget numbers keep shrinking.

A question for Dr wyllie would be---Why not ask the teachers to write their own textbooks? Win win for everyone, Teacher cost would be minimal and the district may just get a better textbook for the students at a cost savings for the District.. According to the article below other states are ahead of the curve in creativity on ways to save on textbook cost.

Walker Percy-----If true unfortunate for parents, taxpayers, students and district employees to have a person on top of the responsibility chain projecting that type of attitude. I hope your wrong, but by Dr. Wyllie giving a response " nothing to report" when asked about the teacher's labor contract negotiations by Ann from the Patch supports what you are saying. Something is not right here. Hopefully Ann & Joe will stay on it.
