Weed Found During Traffic Stop: Police Blotter

Vandals punctured tires on a car and damaged the radiator.

Police recognize the driver

Hope Duffy, 25, Joliet, was stopped in her car at Route 6 and Silver Cross Boulevard by police who knew her license was suspended. A computer check further indicated that she was wanted on a Will County warrant for failure to appear in court.

Duffy was ticketed for driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was taken to Will County on the warrant.

Suspended license and expired registration

Eric Cervantes, 18, of the 400 block of Sycamore Street, was stopped in his car at Route 30 and Gougar Road after police spotted the expired registration. He was ticketed for the traffic violations.

Punctured tires

Police are investigating a criminal damage to property complaint filed by a motorist who said the tires on his car were punctured and the radiator was damaged. The vehicle was parked in the 1000 block of S. Cedar Road.

MONDAY, JAN. 21

Speeding violation

Randall DeGraff, 58, Crete, was stopped for speeding at Francis Road and Silver Cross Boulevard. Police then discovered that he was driving on a suspended license.

Traffic stop nets weed arrest

A stop sign violation drew the attention of police, who stopped Andrew Line, 18, of the 800 block of Bristol Lane. While he was pulled over, police reportedly discovered marijuana and drug equipment in the car.
