The Park District announced its holiday lights contest winners, and we've got a map to show you where you can go to see the best and brightest New Lenox has to offer. Also, learn how to enter our contest for a shot at winning $100,000 for local schools.

The best and brightest in New Lenox were awarded this week when the announced the winners of its holiday lights contest.

If you want to take your family around town on a tour de tinsel, click through the map above. Each snowflake represents one of the participants in the Park District's contest. To see the address of the home, click on the icon.

The winners in the Park District contest are also noted on the map, but here's a rundown:

The contest was sponsored by , with first-place winners getting a $20 gift card to the restaurant and other winners get a free 7-inch pizza.

"Christmas is my husband's favorite holiday," said Angie Hausner, whose home won best lights. "We had something new every year."

I drove by each first-place winner's home last night, and all three were must-see. The Keith and Meyer homes have a setup where you can tune your car radio to 99.1 FM and the music will sync with the lights show. The Hausner family also has music with its lights, though not through the radio.

$100,000 for Local Schools!

The festivities aren't over, though, because your holiday decorations can still win a big prize: $100,000 for local schools. Patch is running a national Deck the House contest in which you can enter photos or video to compete for readers' votes. View local entries and add your own here.
