Suspect in Frankfort Square Kidnapping in Custody
One suspect allegedly involved in the March 4 kidnapping by gunpoint of an elderly woman in Frankfort Square turned himself in on Thursday, Sun-Times Media reports.
A $1 million bail was set for Chavell Anderson, 21, Hazel Crest, who was booked into Will County Jail just after 5 p.m. Thursday. He is scheduled to appear in Will County Court on Friday.
Will County Sheriff's Deputy Chief Ken Kaupas told Sun-Times Media reporters that the other two—Dorian Yamini, 23, and Aaron Anderson, 20—remain at large. All three face charges of armed robbery.
The three were identified through a surveillance video that surfaced of three men suspected of kidnapping the 69-year-old Frankfort Square woman at gunpoint outside her Chestnut Court home. The three were caught on camera at a Walmart in Crestwood.
The woman was abducted about 10 p.m. by three men who allegedly ordered her at gunpoint into the backseat of a car and then drove around trying to use her ATM card. The victim was released that night unharmed in Country Club Hills.
