Welcome to New Look New Lenox, a daily look at common landmarks and places in the village, shown from uncommon angles or closeups.
Every day we'll have a new photo, and you've got the opportunity to tell us where in town the photographed item is.
The first person to identify the location of a photo will win some free Patch swag (a water bottle, tote bag, magnets, etc., while supplies last). Guesses must be submitted in the comment field below the day the photo publishes.
Prizes can be picked up from 4 to 6 p.m. each Monday at the Starbucks near Route 30 and Joliet Highway or by arrangement. I will notify winners beforehand if for some reason my "office hours" will be canceled.
Know a secret place in New Lenox? Send your photos or ideas to michael.sewall@patch.com. Photos must be taken in public places or from public sidewalks. Photos where the focus is a home, person or private residence will not be considered.

Here's a hint that might help: don't look for the steps, but rather the poles and the trees!

John, that's a good hint! My favorite ones of these so far and when there's something telling that isn't the focus. Anyway, someone DID guess correctly, though it was in our activity stream on the right of the homepage. Unfortunately, it was this morning and not the day it was posted.
