Looking for a chance to share your expertise and opinions with a local audience? Look no further than Patch. New Lenox Patch is looking for strong community voices to share news and views with our readers through our new “Local Voices” program.

Patch is more than a news site, it's an online conversation about your community.

“Local Voices” debuts the first week of May.

Involved with the PTO? Avid bicyclist? Village trustee? Organizer of the local sports league? Business owner with a special expertise? “Local Voices” was built with you and your views in mind. “Local Voices” is Patch’s unique, community-focused blogging platform.

Sure, you could host your blog elsewhere, but if you want the chance to reach Patch’s loyal, local readers, you’ll want to consider bringing your views to “Local Voices.” In the six months since we came to town, our readership has grown substantially and we’d love to share them with you.

And “Local Voices” is free of charge.

“Local Voices” blogs hosted on Patch are separate and distinct from the news and features produced by Patch’s staff journalists and professional freelancers. “Local Voices” is more like a neighborhood op-ed page or an online town square.

While Patch editors reserve the right to approve posts, your voice is your own on Patch. We will not edit your posts. To ensure independence, bloggers who join “Local Voices” are not paid by Patch and will not be assigned stories. You write what you want to say when you want to say it. Do it on your schedule, whether that's posting multiple entries per day or a couple times a month.
