See which Gas Station was Nailed for Selling Liquor to a Minor
Illinois State Police conducted spot checks at 24 stores in New Lenox and Mokena. One gas station got caught one store and arrested the employee.
Illinois State Police Zone 3 officers conducted Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement (ACE) in New Lenox and Mokena. A 30-year-old gas station employee in Mokena was arrested for failing to check if the buyer was old enough.
On Dec. 19, the ACE team surveyed 24 locations in New Lenox and Mokena. Only one store was caught in violation. The Circle K #6703, 19100 S. LaGrange Road, was cited on Dec. 19. An employee, Wille J. Christian III, 30, was arrested for unlawful delivery of alcoholic liquor to a minor, a Class A misdemeanor. He was released on a notice to appear in court.
This project was funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety.

The guy working at the gas station was most likely just able to cover his bills and now he will have to cover a fine and maybe even get fired from his job. The real story is how he was set up just so some cop can brag about his BIG BUST. What if this person loses his home on account of this? We should take up a collection. They probably sent in some kid that looks much older than his age or the store was super busy.

True. Entrapment. Just another chapter in the emerging total police state. Everyone must COMPLY/OBEY. No victim is required. Now it’s precrime enforcement based on quasi legal government actions. Good to see someone who has their eyes open, most do not.

If the one employee out of 24 performed his job correctly, he would not be in this situation. Wonder how many kids he may have sold booze to that were in serious car accidents or killed someone while DUI?

Wonder how many hundreds or thousands of innocents killed and maimed by your government by way of Predator/Reaper drones? Out of sight, out of mind. You just don’t get it. Your eyes are closed. You've been programmed with the usual propaganda and don’t even know it. Typical.

Sorry kid but my eyes are open. I know what the story is about but apparently you want to turn it into political battle. I am not biting. Maybe you should go back to posting on Topix. Oh that's right. You can't. can you?

My question is how did they check Mokena Mart since it has been closed for well over a month now.

Noah, you are one smart son-of-gun! Wonder why the cub reporter didn't catch that since Mokena is her beat. Of course the village doesn't want any exposure about all the businesses that are closing in town. If she wants to do a pertinent story that would be a good start. Surprised CD Liquors isn't on the list too.

I think you are all rediculous. What is the problem with kids drinking? In Europe youths can drink and there aren't any speed limits, and look how better off they are over there. You Obama people are to blame for all this. Quite the govt regulation!! Stay out of our lives!!

Yoour right Grace, even in the "dry" counties in the south it's easier to buy meth and heroin (both deadly) than it is to buy a beer,
