Hands down, there is no other place for steaks! Top of the line and on special every Monday. Great service too!

You can get great Filet Mignon to take home and grill at CP Meats....just saying if you want a "at home" option.

Gattos has great service great steak. I just love it so much I have to go at least once a week to satisfy my cravings.

I love Gatto's steaks and everything they have on their menu. They are very reasonably priced and have great portions. The service is awesome and it is a very enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere! Bon Appetit!!!

I had the steak sandwich at Gattos for lunch. It was delicious. I will come back for the steak dinner. Great service

I had dinner at Gattos with my girlfriends. We all loved it. The server was wonderful. She was so helpful with our entree choices. We were all pleased with our meals. The 16 oz bone in ribeye was awesome. I have been looking for a steak like this and so glad I found it. We will be back.

jamiev - I'd say try it one more time. I'm a foodie and retired exec who's eaten in many "expense account" establishments both here in Chicago and, even more so, in NYC. This place really is good. You may have gotten them on a bad night. I've had COUNTLESS great experience with the Gatto boys.

Why is this even a competition? Everyone knows there is only one steakhouse in town and that's Williamson's. I'm a distributor and I know thats the only place in town, with daily deliveries and the freshest top quality steaks. Believe me, I know what the other places serve, frozen steaks dipped in tenderizer for days!

Gatto's is the best restaurant in New Lenox. There is simply no comparison. Best steak hand's down. And don't even get me started on the lamb chops. The Gatto family is dedicated to service. I can't count the number of function's I have held there or have catered. They always go the extra step. And Frankie is wonderful to work with. If you are having a function you need to be prepared with what kind of seating arrangement you require. Common sense will be needed. The chefs at Gatto,s could give lessons. They will glaly adjust a menu item to accomadate for a function if discussed in a reasonable time frame before an event. Even the grilled cheese is fabulous, they do it all.

By far the best tasting steak around. My steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection, med-rare. I would have never thought that I had to go to an Italian
restaurant for such a delicious steak. The topper of this all is the service.........

We always dine at Gattos cause its the best restaurant around and we absolutely LOVE the place! Uncle Phil is always there to greet and seat us and makes us feel like members of the Gatto family!!

Great steaks at Williamson's especially if you want well done! It still is juicy but no pink. How do they do it?

Williamson's as far as I'm concerned serves not only the best steak, but best soup & best staff. Just left there and I am so full I have to take a walk!

At Williamon's right now with my boyfriend. He's eating a gigantic steak, and he says there is no contest! I'm enjoying my seafood fest! Delicious, and bartender made me the best Williamson's martini!

Seems like a heated race between two great places.but if I had to choose I'm voting Gattos for steak hands down. Always cooked the way I want it and my daughter can't get enough of the cheese ravioli......good luck to both

I do like both Gattos & Williamsons, but for steaks it is definitly Williamson's. Gattos makes a good ravioli, but not steak sorry!

Just left Williamsons with and had their steak & ribs special. You can't beat that. Tender steak and and fall off the bone half slab ribs that is most places full slab for 19.99!

Had a great Filet special tonight at Williamsons. Went to see a great movie and had to go back for the delicious carrot cake. YUM!

Although I would like to vote for a few of these great restaurants. I cannot vote best steak for any other than Williamsons. This is what they do best. I do enjoy quite a few of their entrees, but their steaks are at the top. I have the pleasure of eating at many fine steakhouses across the country, and the quality Williamsons provides in the cut selection can rival any steakhouse across the nation. I remember reading that their steaks are hand cut on the premises and never frozen. It shows!

Very good value with great tasting steak. Why go to Orland or Chicago to pay high prices? I eat at Williamsons then go on with my night. Try the Porterhouse or the prime rib with the cracked peppercorn crust. The prime rib is always so juicy.

Another great steak tonight at williamsons. I asked for my skirt steak to be medium but charred on outside and it was perfect.

I do like the ravioli at Gattos, but they really don't have very many steaks, and what I've tried wasn't very good. I have to give this one to Williamsons.Every steak possible and the best giant porterhouse. I'm a big guy and I couldn't finish even half.I had it for lunch the next day, and it was just as good for leftovers.

My grandkids told me about this contest. I had to vote for williamsons because they say I always make them take me there for chopsteak every time I visit. So my vote goes to williamsons. My grandkids are right. I do love their chopsteak

My wife says I'm obsessed with the strip steak sandwich at williamsons, and she is always right. Its only because it is so big and tender for a steak sandwich. Don't ever take that off your menu.

All of these restaurants need our support in our community, and they all have something that makes them stand out. For this vote, there can't be another winner but williamsons. I don't think anyone has a bigger or better selection of steaks on their menu. My favorite one is something they put on special called a bone-in cowboy ribeye. It's big steak, and I order mine medium rare and its cooked just right and has that charcoal flavor on the outside. I do think a lot of these restaurants are great for certain things, but I agree with the guy above, an italian restaurant with only 3 steak choices on their menu can't compare. Maybe for my pasta vote?

Gattos is the best, hands down! That includes more than food. From atmosphere to service, it's a wonderful experience overall!!
