Police Find Oswego Woman Dead at Sybaris
Frankfort police say the death of a 53-year-old woman in a pool room at the hotel chain doesn't look suspicious.
Frankfort police are investigating the death of a woman found Friday morning in her room at Sybaris Pool Suites in Frankfort, according to a police press release.
"At this time, nothing appears to be suspicious," the release stated.
Police responded to a death investigation at the hotel, 7500 W. Lincoln Hwy., around 9 a.m. Friday, according to the report. Although police did not release information about the woman, the Chicago Tribune is reporting that she was a 53-year-old Oswego resident.
Despite the incident, it's "business as usual," hotel manager Fernando Murguia told Patch on Friday night.
Murguia said police did not give him much information about the woman's death. Citing company policy on guest confidentiality, Murguia could not release the woman's name or information about the woman.
The Will County Coroner's Office has scheduled an autopsy for Saturday. The woman's name is being held pending notification of her family.

Help me out here, Nic. Where in this story did it say anything about murder? Are you really shocked to hear that people DO die in this area (as well as every other area, I believe.) Also, where is there a Walmart anywhere near the Frankfort Sybaris?

I'm sorry "LocalMom" but uhm... people die of natural causes all the time. How do you know she didn't just "overwork" herself while enjoying a get-away? My mom had a stroke and is 52, doesn't smoke or drink, blahblahblah. That woman could've easily suffered a stroke or heart attack herself. And wal-mart is WAY more than 10 minutes away from Sybaris.

I don't know ,was she there by herself.A lot of questions are not answered.I don't know what walmart has to do with any of this.It says nothing suspicious at this time , see what the autopsy comes up with.

LocalMom, why don't you wait until all the facts are known before you start making disparaging remarks about anyone? There are other sources for this story, and all have different "items" divulged that the others don't. Yet, as soon as someone questioned your comments, you resort to name calling. Quoted from the Southtown:
"Charlene Farrell, the chief executive officer for Sybaris, said there was a medical emergency Friday morning at the site, 7500 W. Lincoln Highway. She said a guest set off an alarm that goes directly to a 911 dispatch center. When staff checked on the guest, “he asked that we call 911,” she said."
Note it said HE asked that someone call 911, so the woman was not alone. As for the rest of your remarks, glad to hear you won't be spewing your ignorance in this forum anymore.

Excuse me Deb, LocalReader made disparaging remarks about my education ... if you are going to play, then play. And where is this additional information you have obtained? Chicago Tribune. Fine but it has not been put in THIS article.

The coroner's office is conducting an autopsy today, so a lot of these questions will be answered shortly. In the meantime, I suggest everyone remembers a woman has died. I'm sure she has family. I'm sure she has friends. And I ask you what your response would be if you got online to look for information about your lost loved one and saw these insults, tactless jokes and sheer vitriol. Please, for the sake of this woman and her family, show some character and keep some of these thoughts to yourself.

N Yan, my comment was in response to the back and forth about the LW area, the mention of Walmart and calling someone a jerk. Not one of those remarks has anything to do with the article as it is currently printed. I stated in my comment that the quote was taken from the Southtown. The point I'm trying to make is that this story broke almost immediately after it happened. Until the police have time to conduct an investigation and the coroner does his thing, there is no clear cut answer as to exactly what happened. Hence, there is no need to start making rude comments about the situation or the area.

Let the police do their job and figure out what happened to this woman. We're so judgmental in the way we think and portray people. Take a look in the mirror...are you perfect? I think not! This woman has family and friends who care deeply for her and none of them need to read this bs speculation.
