Police Blotter: Man Punched by Noisy Neighbor

SUNDAY, SEPT. 9
Warrant Arrest
Mia Clayton, 29, of Joliet, was stopped by New Lenox police near Route 30 and Washington Street after they said she was speeding. After stopping her, police discovered she was driving with a suspended license and no insurance and had a warrant for her arrest for the failure to appear in Will County Court. Clayton was taken to Will County Jail.
Battery
Matthew Murphy, 38, of the 900 block of Meadow Ridge in New Lenox, was charged with battery. Police said Murphy was yelling outside and then punched a man in the face after the man asked him to be quiet. Murphy posted bond and was released.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 8
Counterfeit Bill
Someone used a counterfeit $10 bill at the Barber's Chair in New Lenox.
Fraud
A resident told police that someone used his credit card information to make a purchase of $450.
Walmart Theft
Walmart employees reported that someone stole three bottles of liquor from the store without paying.

If you live in Joliet and your license gets suspended- you are required to drive to New Lenox? If you don't like playing by the rules, stay out of our town!
Battery:
Matthew Murphy, 38, of the 900 block of Meadow Ridge in New Lenox- Sounds like you're loud, violent and a bit of a jerk. Yeah, you’re going to have to leave too. You can move back when you can behave yourself.
