Police Blotter: Gun, Weed Found During Traffic Stop

New Lenox police reports, March 26-29.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28

Gun, Weed Found

Brandon Jones, 25, of Joliet, was charged with posession of marijuana, unlawful use of a weapon, improper lane use and failure to carry a valid FOID card. 

Police stopped Jones in the 1000 block of South Cedar Road, and after searching his car found a .380 pistol and 50 grams of marijuana. He was booked in county jail and his bail was set at $2,000.

Residential Burglary

A resident in the 400 block of Monterey Drive told police that when he returned home he realized someone broke into his home and started to take property. At the time of the report, it was unknown what property was missing.

Car Spray Painted 

Someone spray painted a car parked in the 200 block of East Wood Street.

TUESDAY, FEB. 27

Arrest Warrant

Police saw a car driving without headlights and discovered that the driver and passenger both had warrants for their arrest in DuPage County. The driver, Gregorio Cipriano-Santos, 33, of Addison, was charged with driving with a suspended license and driving without headlights. 

Both he and his passenger Abel Revels, 25, of Addison, were taken to the Will County Jail on the warrants for their arrest.

Credit Fraud

A New Lenox resident told police that an unknown person used her credit card to make about $1,000 in purchases.

MONDAY, MARCH 26

Arrest Warrant

Jack Dorcic, 36, of the 1100 block of Shagbark Court in New Lenox, was charged with driving without a front license plate. After stopping him, police discovered Dorcic had a warrant for his arrest in Iroquois County. 

Suspended License

Paige Medlin, 20, of Plainfield, was charged with driving with one headlight, a suspended license and no insurance. She was given traffic tickets.
