UPDATE: Lincoln-Way West's Emily Gallagher is Patch MVP

Lincoln-Way West's Emily Gallagher came up with a record-setting performance in a girls swimming quad. She also came up big in voting for Patch's MVP, Sept. 2-9. Now, she is eligible for Patch Athlete of the Month honors.

In voting for Patch's Southland MVP for Sept. 2-9, who gets the biggest roar from the crowd?
Oak Forest's Matt Barry rushed for more than 150 yards and scored two touchdowns in the Bengals' 48-13 football victory over district rival Bremen.
Marist players, coaches, fans and holder Jack Barry watch Cillian Hannon kick the game-winning field goal against Nazareth. Hannon connected on a 32-yarder with no time on the clock to lift the RedHawks to a 24-21 football victory.
Lincoln-Way West's Emily Gallagher set a school record in the 200 free (1:59.43) and helped the Warriors topple Joliet, Crete-Monee and Marian Catholic in a girls swimming quad.

Just one thing that I noticed all of these weeks, there is not one athlete from Special Olympics that is up for the Roar! Just sayin .....
