Lucy E. Prunty
A beautiful life, taken too soon due to Osteosarcoma. Age 14, late of New Lenox, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012 at University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital, Chicago.
Loving daughter of Kevin and Cynthia (nee Hoogland) Prunty; Dear sister of Patrick, Margaret and Grace; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive. Preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.
Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL 60451 on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Funeral service Friday, July 6, 2012, with prayers at 9:30 a.m. to St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox, for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park.

Lucy... that sounds familiar. Wasn't there charities / events going on for this girl? I could of sworn I saw lots of support around here for her. :)
Absolutely devistating. I cannot wait until some kind of advance in medicine comes out with some cure or reversal of this horrible thing we all know as cancer. Somehow we have to figure out how to stop this.
Such a beautiful young woman, called up to the Heavens way too soon. In Heaven, she won't be suffering and living with the pain of cancer like she did on Earth, so that is one thing to be happy about during this horribly sad time.
My prayers and condolenses go out to her and her family.
