New Lenox Police Blotter: Gun Grabbed from Convicted Felon

A thief rolled a bicycle out the door at Kmart.

 

SUNDAY, SEPT. 16

Expired Registration Results in tickets

An expired registration stirred police to stop Teddy Groves, 32, of Joliet, in a car at Gougar Road and Route 30. According to the report, police discovered that he was driving on a suspended license. He was issued tickets and released. 

Bicycle Stolen from Kmart

Police were called to Kmart in the 1500 block of W. Rte. 30 when store staff realized that someone had stolen a bicycle. The value of the bike was not reported.

Obstructed Windshield Causes Traffic Stop

Artemio Dominguez, 46, of Joliet, was stopped by police in his vehicle at Gougar Road and Rte. 30 because police noticed the windshield was obstructed. According to the report, officers discovered that he was driving on a suspended license. He was issued to tickets and released.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 15

Gun Found in a Domestic Dispute

Danny Renfro, 36, of the 2700 block of Gifford Place, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. According to the report, police were called to a domestic dispute and discovered that Renfro had handguns on the property. A computer check revealed he was a convicted felon, and he lacked a valid FIOD card.

If the guy is a felon, he needs a gun to do his job. Don't deprive him of his gainful employment.
