Editor's note: In a previous version of this article, it was incorrectly stated that Dwyane Wade would be here as part of a ProCamps event with Bulls player Taj Gibson and Bears players Devin Hester and Matt Forte. Wade is still coming for his own camp, but Gibson, Hester and Forte's ProCamps event will be held elsewhere.
NBA superstar Dwyane Wade is coming to New Lenox once again to coach kids on the fundamentals of basketball, but this year it won't be a part of the ProCamps event.
This is the fifth time that Wade has set aside a couple days to work with aspiring basketball players from the Lincoln-Way area. Wade has been an integral part of summer timesports camps for the kids in New Lenox.
The Miami Heat star, who went to Richards High School in Oak Lawn, ran a 3-on-3 tournament in New Lenox for a few years before it expanded to the ProCamps event in 2011, with Devin Hester running a football camp simultaneously.
In 2012, Wade was slated to return to the ProCamps event with Hester, but had to cancel because of commitments to the NBA Finals and the 2012 Summer Olympics. Taj Gibson of the Chicago Bulls replaced Wade at the 2012 event. This year, Wade is returning to New Lenox, but not as a part of ProCamps.
Mayor Tim Baldermann, a personal friend of Wade's, said plans have not yet been finalized for the NBA player's role in New Lenox, but the summer camp for kids is scheduled for June 25-26 at Lincoln-Way Central High School. Details about the cost of the camp will be released later.
There will be plenty of opportunities for photos and autographs, Baldermann said. The mayor, who is the former police chief of Chicago Ridge, did some security work for Wade during the NBA playoffs in 2006.

Based on the above article, I guess its safe to say that Devin Hester has changed his mind about retirement.

Hi Folks;
Just got off the phone with Mayor Baldermann. ProCamp sites are yet undertermined. However, Dwyane Wade is scheduled to come to New Lenox on July 25-26. Sorry for the confusion.
