Men Rip Earrings From Teen's Ears on Old Plank Trail

Teens Attacked on Trail

Two 15-year-old girls were attacked on Old Plank Trail near Cedar Road and Joliet Highway, police said. The teens were on the trail at about 11:30 p.m. when three men approached them and demanded their purses and cell phones. 

When the girls refused they were pushed to the ground, choked and punched in the face, police said. One of the men ripped the earrings out of one of the girl's ears. Both teens were taken to Silver Cross Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Equipment Stolen

Several pieces of heavy equipment was stolen from Autumn Ridge Landscaping, 200 block East Otto Drive in New Lenox, after someone forced entry.

MONDAY, JUNE 25

Property Damage

Jeffrey Paganessi, 34, of the 2300 block of Rivendell Drive in New Lenox, was charged with property damage. Police said he was shooting a gun at a train near his home, and also threw certain items that belonged to another resident of the home.
