Police serve up a DUI and two more traffic citations
Donald Beeck, 51, of the 700 block of Bobwhite Street, was stopped for speeding and improper lane usage at Cardinal and Laraway Road. According to the report, officers discovered that he had been drinking too. He was issued tickets for each violation.

Speeding violation and an outstanding warrant
James Hitt, 59, Lemont, was stopped for a speeding violation at Route 30 and Marley Road. A computer check of his license revealed that he was also driving on a suspended license and wanted in Lemont on a warrant for failure to appear in court. He was issued tickets for the traffic violations and posted bond on the warrant.

Police investigate jewelry heist
Security staff at Walmart, in the 500 block of Route 30, filed a retail theft complaint when they discovered that someone had taken about $200 worth of jewelry and left the store without paying for it. Police are investigating the incident.
