Police Capture Burglar with the Goods: Police Blotter
New Lenox police reports, Oct. 12.
FRIDAY, OCT. 12
Anthony Lukas, 22, of Frankfort, was caught with the goods allegedly taken from a parked car in the 300 block of Monterey Drive in New Lenox. According to the report, a homeowner called police about a car burglary in progress.
Police arrived and found Lukas in a neighbor's backyard with items taken from the caller's vehicle, the report stated. During the investigation, police discovered Lukas was also wanted on a warrant for failure to appear in court. He was arrested and taken to the Will County Jail on charges of felony burglary to a vehicle and the outstanding warrant. Bond was set at $20,000.
Filled gas tank but didn't pay
An employee from Circle K gas station, in the 400 block of Nelson Road, told police that someone pumped $60 worth of gas and drove away without paying for it.
A resident in the 100 block of Oakview Drive told police that the door handle at his home was damaged.
