Alcohol, Xanax Contributed to Drowning Death of Woman at Sybaris
Will County Coroner's Office finally rules on the cause of death of the Oswego woman found dead in late July at the romantic getaway hotel. Police say no foul play.
Drowning was the cause of death of an Oswego woman found dead in late July in her pool suite at Frankfort's Sybaris hotel, said the chief deputy coroner for Will County. Frankfort police are not considering it a suspicious death.

Significant amounts of alcohol and the prescription anti-anxiety medication Xanax also were found in the system of Suzette A. O'Donnell, 53, said chief deputy coroner Bob Brenczewski.
Police responded to an emergency call from O'Donnell's husband at around 9 a.m. July 29 at the romantic getaway hotel, 7500 W. Lincoln Hwy., according to police reports. Her husband had found O'Donnell unconscious in the pool area of their room.
An initial autopsy was inconclusive as to how O'Donnell died, and the coroner's office had to wait for toxicology reports. Making a determination on the death became harder because there were no witnesses to O'Donnell's drowning, Brenczewski.
