New Lenox 122 Foundation Elects President & VP
The New Lenox School District 122 Foundation elected a new President and Vice President at its meeting on March 14th. Tom Burton was elected as the Board’s President and Nancy Dye has been elected as Vice President.
Mr. Burton is Senior Vice President of Lending at the First Community Bank and Trust. He is Past President of the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Dye is Executive Director of the American Schools Foundation Alliance, a non-profit membership association for public school foundations. She currently serves as Village Trustee for the Village of New Lenox.
The Foundation recently held its first fundraiser, a “Principal for a Day” raffle. Winners selected from each school assumed the principals’ roles on various dates in February. The next major fundraiser, entitled “Celebrating the Stars of Tomorrow,” is a community gathering on September 8, 2012 at the American Legion in New Lenox. Donations are being solicited for a teacher grant program.
The New Lenox School District 122 Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization that is comprised of community volunteers. Other Board Members include Treasurer Karen Motto, Secretary Tracy Ladd, and Board Members Kim Du’Prey and Pam McCauley.
