Central Collision Center Re-Stocks Alicia's House
Central Collision Center, a family owned and operated collision repair business, donated 2,856 food items to Alicia’s House Food Pantry on Tuesday as a result of its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive.
Central Collision Center reached out to past and current customers, employees and the local community to participate in the food drive by donating non-perishable food items. Employees and customers donated 1,428 items. Central Collision matched all food donations, bringing the total to 2,856 items donated to Alicia’s House Food Pantry.
Central Collision’s Thanksgiving Food Drive benefitting Alicia’s House has become a tradition for the business, which has six locations throughout the south suburbs. Each of the company’s six offices sets up a collection box for its employees and customers. Every year, Central Collision aims to exceed its donation total from the previous year.
“We have great people who are fortunate enough to give back and are happy to do so,” said Mike Caruso, owner of Central Collision. “Their generosity exceeds my expectations every year.”
Alicia’s House Food Pantry, a 501c3 non-profit, works to alleviate hunger by providing food at no cost to low income residents of Crete, Beecher, Steger, Monee, Peotone, University Park and South Chicago Heights. Located at 17 Paulsen Avenue in South Chicago Heights, Alicia’s House Food Pantry accepts food, clothing and toiletry donations year-round.
