My son, Justin T. Hoogeweg, a proud member of the Illinois National Guard, Military Police, is being deployed to Afghanistan. The yellow ribbon "Good Bye" ceremony will be August 9, 2012 at Fort Sheridan. After that his company will do further training in Mississippi before deploying to Afghanistan. The orders are to be there for 10 months before coming back home.
